A weekend with JoziFoodieFix – Tacos & Handmade Contemporary Fair

In case you’re wondering what to do or what I’m up to this weekend, I thought I’d share. My plan is too keep this weekend relaxed and stay in but I do have two must dos. I’ve had a taco craving this entire week and I decided that I’ll succumb so I’ll be starting the weekend off with a taco from the Baha Taco container in The Sheds at 1 Fox and then spend and evening at Sanlam Handmade Contemporary (FoodWineDesign) Fair.

Sanlam Handmade Contemporary (FoodWineDesign) Fair previously the Food Wine Design, this is on my annual to do list. It’s on at Hyde Park Corner rooftop the entire weekend, it’s R90 if you buy tickets online and a limited number of ticket at R100 at the door. I went to the media launch a couple of weeks ago and was excited to see what some of the exhibitors, many of which are Cape Town based and the food on offer, The Counter will be there serving up Jozi’s best Burgers and fudge. More details on exhibitors here

Baha Taco at The Sheds I am not new to Baha Taco, we have had them serve up Mexican at THE WKND SOCIAL on more than one occasion, so I was ecstatic when I heard they’d be around my hood weekly Thursdays through Sundays. Their soft tacos are the most authentic tasting I have every had and by authentic I mean they taste like the tacos I have had in New York and Los Angeles. Also they don’t skimp on the filling, their fish tacos are a must try if they have them on offer.Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Happy weekend fixing!
