I thought it’s time I share a couple of my 2014 New York foodie highlights, if you have 24 hours in NY be sure to make some time for these spots.
Then brunch on the smallest tables in the West Village – Buvette Gastrotheque New York serves up delicious OJ, and a decadent waffle sandwich. The waffle sandwich is a sunnyside egg, bacon topped with melting gruyere and maple syrup between a zesty citrus buttermilk waffle. It may not look pretty but it tastes damn good!
A late lunch at ABC Kitchen Union Square – The ABC Kitchen by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten serves fresh seasonal and sustainable fare. The combinations are interesting and quite hearty, if you’re budgeting I’d recommend the three course lunch prix fixe at $32. The surprising yet tasty combination of sweet roast beets on slightly tart homemade yoghurt is a great starter. The signature salted caramel sundae is not to be missed, it’s a full mouthgasm!
